AI Monetization and the Imperatives of Responsible Governance Norms

Framing the Relationship Between Compute Economics and Human Oversight

Laws of Autonomous Systems (based on Isaac Asimov’s Rules of Robotics)

  • First Law: An autonomous system may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

  • Second Law: An autonomous system must obey orders given by humans, except when those orders break the First Law.

  • Third Law: An autonomous system must protect its own life, as long as that does not break the First or Second Law.

  • Zeroth Law: An autonomous system may not harm humanity, or allow humanity to come to harm through inaction.
